As summer has come to an end, fall fun is here. October is the peak of the autumn season and when all the fall festivities are at their best. With Homecoming and Harvest Drive out of the way, it’s time to celebrate the fall season and all the fun offerings it brings. Rather you prefer summer or are counting down the days till Christmas, fall is full of countless exciting activities for anyone to enjoy.

Perhaps the best part of fall is Halloween. The day is filled with loads of fun, rather you’re dressing up, spending time with your friends and family, watching iconic Halloween movies, or solely there for the candy, Halloween is an exciting day that is sure to be fun. Leading up to Halloween is the best time to visit some scary, seasonal activities in the area. Haunted houses are everywhere, some of the most popular being Statesville Haunted Prison in Joliet, Hellsgate in Lockport, the Haunted Woods in Orland, among others. A haunted house is sure to be a memorable and hilarious experience with your friends.

If the horror aspect of Halloween and autumn aren’t for you, there are many other opportunities. As stated before, Halloween movies are some of the best. Watching Hocus Pocus or Nightmare before Christmas is just as fun and a more relaxing activity. One of my favorite activities in autumn is to visit the pumpkin patch with my friends. Bengston’s in Homer Glen or Kornow’s in Lockport are some of the best. With corn mazes, hayrides, pumpkin picking, and more, these places guarantee a fun fall day.

Have an amazing autumn by carving pumpkins, visiting haunted houses, eating autumn snacks, or whatever is best for you. No matter your likes or dislikes, there are fun fall events for everyone.
