FAITH

FAITH

Truth, unity, and love are the three core Augustinian values that PCHS upholds. But this particular year, it seems as if the Providence Catholic community has been exemplifying these values so much more. When walking through the halls of Providence Catholic this year, I not only see people conversing with each other, but also see students that were previously separated by last year’s cohort system reunited, and other students that may not have been able to meet each other last year finally able to see each other in person. This year the faith of the students and faculty at Providence Catholic High School has also been strengthened with the return of all-school masses. We have even had the pleasure of welcoming Deacon Joe and Brother David to the Providence Catholic community this year. Moreover, we have even been able to host shadow days where students from local junior high schools come to Providence Catholic to see if they are possibly interested in attending.

It is clear that the Providence Catholic community hasn’t had a chance to be this close for close to two years. Although we may not ever be able to recover the lost time, the Providence Catholic community has easily returned to where we were before the pandemic. Even all-school prayer is so much different from having the whole student body on campus. It almost feels as if Covid-19 never happened, like we were here all along.
