During the school year, kids often get overwhelmed with the amount of schoolwork and stress that piles up on them day after day. So, I decided to write about a few movies that will help give some kids a break from their busy worlds, and enter a new one full of exciting characters, plots, and imagery.

  1. Frozen 2

Now it may seem like a children’s movie, but Frozen 2 is just as good as any action-packed movie with real actors. The only difference is that it’s animated. The movie is full of heartwarming moments between the two famous sisters ( who are played by Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell), and will also have you on the edge of your seat wondering what happens when Elsa finds herself in trouble, yet again, and needs her sister’s help to save their kingdom. The two uncover secrets of the past and what lies in the future through catchy songs and beautiful animations. Songs like Somethings Never Change and Into the Unknown will have you singing them for weeks, and you won’t be able to get over how fascinating and eye-catching the movie really is. I would rate the movie five out of five stars for the charming musical aspect that you could watch repeatedly and have it never got old. This movie is a must-see and will take you down a wild trip through memory lane.

  1. Little Women

Frozen 2 definitely had some powerful emotions, but if you’re looking for something to really tug on your heart strings than Little Women is for you. Through an aesthetically pleasing and beautifully made movie, you’ll watch the relationship between four sisters go on a roller coaster of ups and downs, creating a bond for a lifetime. Actresses like Emma

Watson and Saoirse Ronan perfectly portray the uniqueness and qualities each sister withholds that makes them so lovable. Alongside rising star Timothée Chalamet, the sisters go through journeys of love and loss that you can’t help holding close to your heart. The plot may seem slow at times, but the result is worth it in the end. I would give this movie a four out of five for the incredible acting, gorgeous scenery, and an overall emotional and inspiring plot.

  1. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

For my third and final review, I’m going to be talking about a more intense and action-packed film than the rest. This new and exciting Stars Wars movie is one to remember. It not only makes you feel nostalgic of the old Star Wars movies you watched when you were a kid, but it has an amazing story line with everything you could ever want. Drama, action, romance, heartbreak, and more! From Daisy Ridley to Adam Driver’s acting abilities, to the fascinating special effects and settings, the movie will leave you with chills. It’s a slightly slow-paced movie that builds up emotion and suspense as it goes on, and I recommend only watching it if you have seen the others. But it has a spectacular ending to the saga, and in general is an unforgettable film. I would give this movie four out of five stars for all the emotions you’ll get while watching this movie.

That summarizes my three movie reviews of all recent films that are still in theaters. So, don’t be hesitant to stop on by your local movie theater and watch one of these amazing movies!
