There is an annual event that most of the students are looking forward to having: the 2022 homecoming. Many students are already preparing for it as a soon-to-be-happen un-coming event. Several popular homecoming dress shopping websites have sold their favorite dresses or are low in stock. This year, classic and newer trends will be in homecoming dresses and suits. The current trending fashion for homecoming dresses is a tight, fitting look with one-shoulder straps, glitzy sequins, a sheer corset, silky or velvet fabrics, or thin shoulder straps in the back. Emerald green, neon orange, vivid Barbie core pinks, and rose gold are this year’s most popular colors. The classic trends will be there as it is the safest choice for the best dresses. A dress, mostly A-line skirts and V-necklines, featuring a fitted upper body and a full skirt, fit-and-flare, in classic hues like black, navy blue, and red, will be those classic lines. For the suits, pinstripes or a fully flexible wild print like a floral, plaid, or jacquard would be more exciting and fun options for this year. For the classics, a classic grey suit, double-breasted jacket, long double-breasted coat, or double-breasted suit with black, brown, or grey hues would be the best choices as it is easy to match and is formal for the events like homecoming. Or, if you do not like either dresses or suits, you could wear bodysuits, and there are countless options to choose from.

According to Ms. Klod, the 2022 Providence Homecoming theme is “Provipalooza,” which came from Lollapalooza. The ticket price will be $20.00 per person and will be sold the week of Homecoming, Monday, October 3rd to Thursday, October 6th, during all lunches or after school in Room 107, Ms. Klod’s room. The DJ is the same person who did the DJ the Christmas Dance last year. There are lots of interesting and exciting themed dress-down days during the week of homecoming, also. There will be Hypnotist on Thursday, October 6th at 7:00 PM in the large gym, all-welcomed, and $10.00 per ticket. The Assembly for 2022 Homecoming will be on Friday, October 7th, where the Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned.
