Fall Fashion Trends

With the leaves changing colors and the weather getting cooler, it’s time to take out your leather jackets, sweaters, and plaid because fall fashion is back in. Here are a few trends over the Fall/Winter 2022 runways.

Knitwear

No doubt, knitwear comes back every year when it gets cold in the form of sweaters, hats, and gloves. This year’s runways showcased knitwear in baggy, patterned, and textured sweaters with new funky silhouettes. Keep an eye out for chunky knits, oversized sweaters, and knit dresses!

Bomber Jackets

Evolving from its 2010 army green ancestor, the bomber jacket has come back in various colors and patterns but generally in a larger, oversized fit. These jackets can go with almost everything, with the ability to be dressed up for dinner out or dressed down for a grocery run. This trend is perfect for guys and girls and can match various personal styles.

Micro/Midi Skirts

Although these styles of skirts are nothing new to the fashion world, micro and midi lengths have flooded the trend cycle. Micro skirts are typically low-waisted, shorter than miniskirts, and add a playful twist to a sophisticated outfit. Midi skirts hit above the knee to about mid-calve, elongate the leg, and are one of the more mature and modest trends.

Business Wear

Not only is business attire popular obviously in the office, but it has also made its way to the runway and has presented itself as matching pantsuits in playful colors and exciting cuts such as wide-leg trousers and broad-shouldered jackets. Oversized blazers and 70’s inspired silhouettes are seen in both men’s and women’s fall lines.
