Providence Catholic Principal Mr. Paul Houston  announced that 46 students from the Providence Catholic graduating class of 2023 have been designated as Illinois State Scholars, representing 26% of the class.
The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC), the state’s college access and financial aid agency, presents this important recognition of academic achievement to exceptional Illinois high school students annually. This year, more than 17,000 honorees join the other outstanding students who have been honored since the designation was first introduced in 1958.“We are very proud of our Illinois State Scholars,” says Mr. Houston. “This is quite an academic achievement. Their commitment to excellence in academics truly defines them as leaders in the Providence Catholic community. We congratulate them on this success, and look forward to seeing what they accomplish as they continue their academic careers.”
