Augustinian Youth Ministry Inducts New Members

NEW LENOX (April 20, 2023) – Fr. Rich Young, O.S.A., presided over the induction of 63 students and five student directors into the school’s Augustinian Youth Ministry organization on April 20 at Providence Catholic High School. “Truth, unity and love aren’t just happy words,” he said. “They are a way of life and the Augustinian Youth Ministry members are going to show us what that way is.”

The Augustinian Youth Ministry (AYM) is charged with promoting Christian service and Augustinian spirituality in the community. AYM organizes blood donor drives, food drives, clothing drives, and many other service activities. Their service projects benefit the community at large as well as the high school. AYM members are also required to complete 10 hours of service to their parish or community.

“I am very proud to be the moderator of Augustinian Youth Ministry because each year, I get to see the incredible capacity of these students to give back,” said AYM Moderator Jennifer Williams. “Whether it’s here on our campus or out in their communities, these students continue to live out the values of Providence Catholic and make the community a better place.”
