The Providence JV Girls Tennis season started on Wednesday, August 20th. Everyone arrived excited and ready for the new school year. Our coaches were very encouraging, wanting us to make new friends and have fun, however everyone was a little nervous. We started practicing every day after school from three to five pm. After the conditioning and the drills, we felt ready for our match. Our first match was in early September, and we did extremely well. There were matches every week from that point on. As every match happened, our team grew closer. Before we knew it, conference rolled around, and we didn’t want the season to end. We fought until the end of conference, and we left knowing we did our best. We walked into this sport only knowing one or two people, and we walked out with twenty new friends and a passion for the sport.
