Varsity Hockey Team

Hi, my name is Alex Flood, and I’m here to talk about the Varsity hockey team. On January 9th, 2026, the varsity hockey team took on St. Rita on senior night. Six seniors from the Providence hockey team will soon be representing Providence High School for the last time. These six seniors are Gavin Lass, John Cardwell, Ryan Sterr, Drew Spencer, Jonathan Schlender, and Aidan Flood. I was able to get Aidan Flood to talk about the team and seniors, “Our hockey senior night was special to us because it really showed how much this team and season have meant to us. Having our families there and hearing everyone cheering made the night feel special. It was a moment that reminded us of all the hard work, memories, and friendships we’ve built together. “After a rocky start letting in two goals in less than a minute, Providence shined scoring seven goals in a great win to a final of 7-3. The Providence hockey team will have one more home game on January 23rd at 8:30 pm at Arctic Ice Arena before the playoffs start. Go and support the Providence hockey team.
